NREMT-B Test

I passed the NREMT-B Computer Adaptive Test (CBT or CAT) just a couple of weeks ago. It’s a fairly difficult test, I took the paper version the first time and was 1 question short of passing. This time I took the CBT and it cut off at 70 questions (100 percent correct, from what i understand) I would recommend a lot of studying to anyone about to take it, and can recommend a couple of products i used myself, and a couple that I own, but am not proud of. You have to care about becoming an EMT, and about the patients you’ll see to pass this test, you can’t just skim the material, you must know it.

Great Products:

EMT-Basic (REA)- Interactive Flashcards for EMT (extremely helpful review questions)
Brady’s Audio Lecture & Study Guide (very very very good review, probably the best help you can get)
Brady’s Emergency Care (10th) (great textbook, my class did not use, but i borrowed from a friend, was very informative)

Not So Great Products:

Kaplan EMT-B Exam (very poor product, lots of test taking skills review, not much about the actual info at all)
The Basic EMT(terrible terrible textbook, which my class used)

Do a bunch of review, and listen to the audio lecture a couple of days before, and you’ll be golden.
